Novak Djokovic misses the ATP Finals
The Serb loses in the second round in Paris against the world number 83.
Bitter defeat for Novak Djokovic!
The Serb loses in the second round of the Masters tournament in Paris against Rinky Hijikata (AUS/ATP No. 83) 6:2, 3:6, 3:6.
This means Djokovic misses the ATP Finals for only the second time in the past 20 years. Since 2007, the record winner of the tournament had only failed to qualify sportingly in 2017. However, he had missed a large part of that season due to an elbow injury.
In the match against Hijikata, Djokovic particularly lacked the necessary efficiency. The 39-year-old was only able to convert two of his eleven break points.
