ÖTV player Filip Misolic prevails in Brazil!

At the ATP Challenger in Costa do Sauipe, he defeats Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas (PER/ATP No. 202) 6:7 (3), 6:2, 6:3 in the first round.

As neither player managed a break, the first set was decided in a tiebreak. Misolic, however, was chanceless in it and lost it 3:7. After that, the tide turned. Misolic won all of the first four games in the second set. He then comfortably served out for a 6:2.

In the final set, the 25-year-old secured the decisive break already in the first game. As a result, he gave his opponent no further chance to catch up and converted his first match point after 2:39 hours for a 6:3 victory.

In the round of 16, he will face either the tournament's top seed Diaz Acosta (ARG/ATP No. 72) or Pucinelli de Almeida (BRA/ATP No. 197).
