Luke Littler misses the Players Championship Finals and thus the last major tournament before the Darts World Championship.

The top 64 players from 34 Players Championship tournaments, all of which take place without an audience, qualify for the PC Finals. Littler withdrew from the last two Players Championship tournaments and did not collect enough prize money to qualify for the major tournament.

Overall, Littler only participated in two of the 34 tournaments, reaching a quarter-final and a semi-final. The 19-year-old does not have to worry about his position in the world rankings, however. He is approximately two million pounds ahead. A victory at the PC Finals would earn £130,000.

Other top stars miss out

Nathan Aspinall also withdrew from the last two tournaments and, similar to Littler, voluntarily opted out of the PC Finals.

Former world champions Peter Wright and Raymond van Barneveld, as well as world number eight Josh Rock, are also currently not qualified and have their last chance on Wednesday.

From an Austrian perspective, Mensur Suljovic comfortably qualified for the PC Finals as the 50th player. Rusty Jake Rodriguez was unable to collect enough prize money and would miss qualification even with a title at tomorrow's final Players Championship tournament.
