Ben Shelton is expected to strengthen his coaching team with a prominent name.

A report from "The Times" indicates that Juan Carlos Ferrero will work with the US Open finalist starting next season.

Accordingly, he is expected to work alongside Shelton's father, Bryan, on the 24-year-old's development.

Coached Alcaraz for Years

Ferrero is one of the most renowned coaches on the ATP Tour. The 46-year-old Spaniard mentored Carlos Alcaraz from 2018 to 2025, during which time the new Vienna winner established himself as one of the world's best players and won six Grand Slam titles.

Since the separation, Ferrero, who was once world No. 1 himself, had been without a coaching role but had emphasized his desire to coach a player again in the future.
