The Vienna Vikings have claimed the title in the newly founded American Football League Europe (AFLE).

On Sunday in Duisburg, the Viennese team crushed the Panthers Wroclaw 68:5 (48:5) in the final.

Head Coach Chris Calaycay's team thus secured its first European title since their ELF triumph in 2022.

"We didn't know exactly what to expect because the Panthers were 'on fire' after their semifinal win. It was a team effort, we gave everything. We wanted to make a statement about who the Vikings are, and we succeeded," said Vikings Head Coach Chris Calaycay to "ORF" after the game.

Led by quarterback Ben Holmes, the Vikings impressively avenged their only seasonal defeat against the Polish team a month ago in Vienna with their commanding final victory over the Panthers.
