In Singles: An Austrian is still competing at the US Open

Both ÖTV men, Misolic and Rodionov, have already been eliminated. Potapova is the last remaining woman. But there's still another player.

The US Open 2026 are now over two weeks old – and yet three ÖTV players are still in the tournament.

Anastasia Potapova (today, from 5:00 PM in the LIVE ticker) is battling Mirra Andreeva for a spot in the quarter-finals. Lucas Mieder, along with Marc Polmans, knocked out his former doubles partner Alexander Erler in the round of 32. And then there's Thilo Behrmann (18).

In the junior competition, the player from Burgenland advanced in the first round against American Ryan Cozad with a 7:6(5), 6:1 victory. This makes him the only ÖTV junior player still in the competition.

Already reached the quarter-finals of a junior Grand Slam

Among the junior girls, only Anna Pircher made it into the main draw. The just 16-year-old lost to Italian Ilary Pistalo with 3:6, 6:3, 1:6.

In the round of 16, Behrmann, who was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the junior competition at this year's French Open, will face Romanian Matei Victor Chelemen. From approx. 7:20 PM in the LIVE ticker >>>
