In front of almost 4,000 fans, the Bavarian now celebrated his Austria comeback in the NV Arena.
"It's a very positive feeling. I was very happy that I got to play," says the goalie, delighted about his debut in the Salzburg kit.

Good Job on Debut
The goalkeeper did have something to do on a few occasions, but Früchtl kept a clean sheet against his former Austria assistant coach Cem Sekerlioglu, now head coach of the Lower Austrians.
Head coach Danny Röhl says about Früchtl: "He did well. He's going home with a good feeling. At halftime, he was slightly hampered, and it wasn't clear if he could continue. He did well, and that's what counts."
Challenging Start
Früchtl had to adapt quickly in recent weeks. "It was very challenging. In Italy, we were in the middle of pre-season, and then I came here with all the midweek fixtures."
"Chris (Zawieschitzky, Anm.) ist ein Superjunge. Wir haben im Torwart-Team ein sehr gutes Miteinander."
Nevertheless, the German feels more than comfortable in his new team. "The team and the coaching staff have welcomed me very well. Everything at the club is highly professional. It's fun to be here," says Früchtl.
However, the young Tyrolean Christian Zawieschitzky, who was rested in St. Pölten, remains the number one in the hierarchy for now.
Praise for Alexander Walke
"Chris (Zawieschitzky, *Ed.*) is a great lad. We have a very good camaraderie in the goalkeeper team. We train very professionally. Alexander Walke does very good goalkeeper training; we are well-positioned," Früchtl only has positive words for his direct competitor.
The 26-year-old also won't be definitively assigned the role of cup goalkeeper. "No, absolutely not. Chris (Zawieschitzky, *Ed.*) has done an excellent job so far. It was a good time to give the other Chris (Früchtl, *Ed.*) a few minutes," explains Röhl.
