Austrian Philipp Steinmayr Dies in Racing Accident
The motorcycle racer has died in a serious accident during a race.

Austrian motorcycle racer Philipp Steinmayr suffered a fatal accident on Saturday at the Automotodrom Brno in the Czech Republic. Adrian Rus, a 43-year-old Romanian, also lost his life after an accident.
Despite immediate intervention by medical emergency personnel, the 32-year-old Steinmayr succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the accident.
Rus was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he later also succumbed to his injuries.
Following the accidents, the entire remaining program of the Alpe Adria Motorcycle Championship was cancelled.
