Is Jürgen Klopp not staying on as Red Bull's brand ambassador after all?
Initial reports suggested the German would remain a brand ambassador for the beverage giant. Now, it seems there are other plans.
Currently, everything indicates that Jürgen Klopp will soon sign a contract as the new DFB national team coach until after the 2030 World Cup.
Talks between the DFB leadership and the former Liverpool coach are said to be far advanced, with further discussions planned next week with Klopp's current employer, Red Bull.
Not a Brand Ambassador – But an Advisor?
Just a few days ago, it was still reported that the 59-year-old could remain with the Austrian beverage company as a brand ambassador. However, this will likely not be the case, as Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg reported on Sunday.
Such ideas were reportedly never part of the discussions. Red Bull boss Oliver Mintzlaff's greatest wish is that Klopp continues to be available as an advisor with his expertise.
Further details are expected to be clarified next week in New York. One way or another, little stands in the way of Klopp's return to the coaching bench.
