Jürgen Klopp will become the new national coach of the German national team after Julian Nagelsmann's departure!

As "Sky" reports, an agreement has been reached, and Klopp is set to take over until 2030. After negotiations between the DFB leadership and their desired candidate in New York, everything is reportedly clear.

The star coach reportedly met with DFB President Bernd Neuendorf and his deputy Hans-Joachim Watzke on Friday afternoon (local time) at a hotel near John F. Kennedy Airport, "Bild" newspaper reported.

The discussion at the airport reportedly lasted more than four hours. Klopp is working as a TV expert during the World Cup in North America, and will now succeed Julian Nagelsmann.

Since Germany's World Cup exit in a penalty shootout in the round of 32 against Paraguay, quite a bit has already leaked to the media regarding the matter. Klopp will receive a multi-million-euro salary, which will, however, be only slightly higher than that of his predecessor Nagelsmann.

Talks about contract termination at Red Bull

The official confirmation is still pending, which is due to the necessary negotiations with Red Bull regarding a termination of Klopp's contract as Head of Global Soccer, which runs until 2029 and is expected to take place by early next week at the latest.

As has already leaked, Red Bull will not stand in Klopp's way; he will be able to leave without a transfer fee, but will remain an advertising ambassador for the beverage group.

The DFB team's first international matches after the renewed World Cup debacle are scheduled for September and October. They will then kick off their Nations League campaign with matches in the Netherlands, against Serbia, and twice against Greece.
