Former Rapid coach Robert Klauß has made a successful international start with his new club Dunajska Streda. After a 1-0 first-leg win against Velez Mostar, they secured a dominant 3-0 away victory in the second leg, confidently advancing to the 3rd qualifying round for the UEFA Conference League.
"All in all, it was a great game. Three beautiful goals. We are happy," he stated, summing up his satisfaction to the club channel.
Two-Thirds Success Rate
International matches are clearly a specialty of the German. He played his first 16 games with SK Rapid, and secured two wins from the following two with his new club.
Overall, after 18 matches, he boasts twelve wins, three draws, and three defeats. The run in the UEFA Conference League 2024/25 was particularly successful, with Rapid reaching the quarter-finals. Their journey ended against Djurgardens only after extra time.
