Veli Kavlak is no longer working as the U18 national team coach of Turkey.

The 37-year-old announced this via Instagram, stating that he had stepped down from the position at his own request.

"I thank everyone who placed their trust in me during my tenure, as well as all colleagues with whom I had the opportunity to work," Kavlak wrote. "It has always been a great honor to serve Turkish football."

Kavlak had been working for the Turkish federation since January 2026, coaching his team in nine matches. Before that, Kavlak worked as a coach in the youth setup of Besiktas and at the SK Rapid academy.

In the U19 European Championship qualifiers, Turkey, under Kavlak, collected four points in three matches so far.
