UEFA Super Cup: Thiem in New Role at Football Highlight
Former tennis star Dominic Thiem will take on a new role during the UEFA Super Cup in Salzburg.
Almost exactly one month before the UEFA Super Cup at the Red Bull Arena in Salzburg, Dominic Thiem announces his new role for the event.
The former tennis star will serve as an official ambassador at the football highlight.
"Football has always been an important part of my life, whether playing myself, in the stadium, or as a fan," says the 32-year-old.
The Lower Austrian adds: "I am all the more delighted to be an official ambassador for Austria at the UEFA Super Cup 2026!"
On August 12, the UEFA Super Cup will take place at the FC Red Bull Salzburg stadium. UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa (winners of the UEFA Europa League) will face each other.
A Fan Festival will also take place at Salzburg's Residenzplatz on matchday and the day before.
