Arnautovic Gets New Number at Red Star
Marko Arnautovic recently played his last match for the ÖFB national team, and there's also a small change in Belgrade.
After 137 international caps and 49 goals, Marko Arnautovic has declared his ÖFB national team career over following their exit from the World Cup in America.
However, Arnautovic was not up for a long break after the bitter round of 16 exit against Spain; he returned to training with Red Star Belgrade at the beginning of the week.
New Shirt Number
The 37-year-old striker can now fully focus on his club. The club is also providing the ÖFB legionary with a new jersey number for the start of the season:
As he did for many years with the ÖFB national team, Arnautovic will also wear the number seven at Red Star Belgrade. Last season, the forward played with the number 89.
With the number 89, the Viennese player contributed ten goals and nine assists in 32 competitive matches last season.
