Preining on the Verge of DTM Title Win After Two Podium Finishes
The Austrian heads into the final race weekend with a 23-point lead.
Thomas Preining takes a big step towards winning the DTM title at the Sachsenring.
The Austrian Porsche driver finishes third on Saturday and second on Sunday, which puts him in the lead heading into the final weekend of the season on October 10th and 11th at the Hockenheimring.
Victory in the first race goes to Marco Wittmann (GER). His compatriot Ben Dörr wins the second event.
Preining, who has already won the DTM once in 2023, is now 23 points ahead of his closest pursuer Maro Engel, who comes away empty-handed after a penalty on Sunday.
