Utah calls up ÖEHV youngster Gregor Biber to the NHL!
The Utah Mammoth could soon hand the 20-year-old Austrian his NHL debut.
Great opportunity for Gregor Biber!
As announced by the Utah Mammoth, the 20-year-old Austrian has been recalled to the NHL team from their farm team, the Tucson Roadrunners.
The defenseman from Krems was selected 98th overall by Utah back in 2024, and now the chance for his NHL debut could indeed present itself.
In the USA since 2026
In recent years, Biber gained valuable experience at the highest European level playing for Rögle BK in Sweden. Since 2026, he has been playing in the AHL for the Tucson Roadrunners. He has made eleven appearances (three assists) for the Mammoth's farm team in the current season.
The Utah Mammoth have got off to a strong start in the new NHL season. After 17 games, they have 21 points, which puts them in second place in the Central Division.
