Polish ski jumper Pola Beltowska has stayed out of the spotlight since March.

It was a time to take a breath for the 19-year-old, who went through a difficult period following her appearance at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

The reason was the mixed team event on the normal hill, in which Poland finished in only eleventh place — partly because Beltowska recorded her team's shortest jump with a distance of 82 meters. What followed was a wave of hate comments online directed at Beltowska.

"Since then, I have vanished a bit from the internet," the 19-year-old explained to news agency PAP.

"Right now, I don't pay attention to the comments"

"I haven't taken part in any competition since March. Right now, I completely ignore the comments on the internet and hope it stays that way," Beltowska says today.

Last February, the messages hurt much more. "Wishing something bad happens to someone is going too far," she explained at the time.

Currently injured

Beltowska, whose best World Cup finish was 14th place in Falun in 2025, is currently suffering from a patellar tendon strain.

"I'm getting closer to returning to the hill. I want my knee to stop bothering me so I can return as quickly as possible and enjoy the sport," the 19-year-old says, hoping for a swift return to the Ski Jumping World Cup.

Incidentally, it kicks off on November 20 in Lillehammer.
