The Men's Alpine Ski World Cup makes its next stop in Levi, Finland. Adrian Pertl is currently not included, but still has a slim chance of securing a starting spot.

After the World Cup opener in Sölden, the men are now heading to Finland. A slalom is scheduled in Levi on November 15.

While Carinthian Oscar Heine will make his World Cup debut there, former slalom World Championship silver medalist Adrian Pertl is not part of the squad.

The 30-year-old finished only fourth in internal qualification and will likely have to watch from the sidelines. Only a slim chance of competing remains: If Manuel Feller is unable to race in Levi, Pertl, who lost his squad status with the ÖSV, would step in as a replacement.

"Financially, it's tougher"

The Carinthian won the silver medal at the 2021 World Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo, but was unable to regain his former form after tearing his ACL in December of the same year.

"We spent almost three weeks in Chile – financially it's obviously tougher because I have to pay for my flight, hotel, and ski pass myself," Pertl told "Krone". The 30-year-old also currently lacks a head sponsor.
