Ice Hockey World Championship: ÖEHV Women lose opener after taking early lead
The Austrian team even took the lead against the Czech Republic, but ultimately suffered a clear defeat.
The ÖEHV Women's national team opened the World Championship in Denmark with a defeat.
Alexander Bröms' side fell 4-1 to the Czech Republic.
Austria even took the lead after eight minutes through Anna Meixner, with Theresa Schafzahl providing the assist. Hymlarova (19') equalized near the end of the first period before Mlynkova (34') turned the game around.
In the final period, Mrazova (53', 59') sealed the victory. The ÖEHV Women continue their campaign on Friday (from 19:00) against Germany.
