HC Innsbruck pulls the plug!

Following weeks of sporting decline, the "Sharks" are parting ways with immediate effect from Head Coach Ryan Kinasewich and Assistant Coach Florian Pedevilla. The club announced this in a press release on Monday afternoon.

"Situation Does Not Meet Our Standards"

"The decision to relieve Ryan and Florian of their duties was anything but easy for us. We would like to expressly thank them for their great commitment, their professionalism, and the work they have done. They showed full passion for HCI until the very end," said GM Günther Hanschitz.

At the same time, the club sees itself responsible for reacting to the sporting developments of recent weeks. "The current situation does not meet our expectations and standards. To stop the sporting decline and still achieve this season's goals, we consider this step necessary," Hanschitz explained.

In the standings, the "Sharks" are currently in second-to-last place with only 15 points from 18 games. To the Standings>>>

Successor Still Open

"We thank Ryan and Florian for their commitment and wish them all the best for their future, both professionally and personally," concluded the Innsbruck GM.

Who will be behind the bench in the future is not yet clear. The club is working on a solution, and the new sporting management will be presented in the coming days, the Innsbruck team announced.
