EC KAC celebrates a clear 7:2 home victory against Black Wings Linz in the 18th round of the win2day ICE Hockey League.

The Carinthians managed a real offensive surge in the first period. Thomas Hundertpfund scored the 1:0 (6th minute) after a magnificent pass from Herburger, before Simeon Schwinger quickly extended the lead (9th minute) after a deep pass from Unterweger.

Just three minutes later, BWL goalie Dylan Wells also deflected the puck into his own net with his skate after an Aabo shot. However, Linz managed to get on the scoreboard at 1:3 (14th minute) through Luis Lindner and a shot into the top corner.

Nevertheless, the "Red Jackets" already established a clear advantage before the first intermission.

Hundertpfund and Drozg Pave the Way for a Rout

Jan Drozg scored the 4:1 (17th minute) from a sharp angle, before Hundertpfund could celebrate his brace (19th minute) even before the first intermission.

Even in the middle period, the Carinthians allowed little suspense and further extended their lead to 6:1 (34th minute) after Drozg's second goal. However, Brady Shaw at least scored the 2:6 (52nd minute/PP1) in the final period after a Hudson tripping penalty.

Shortly before the final siren, however, Drozg still sealed the 7:2 final score in favor of the Carinthians with a hat-trick (59th minute).

Therefore, after losses against Bolzano (2:5) and Graz (1:3), KAC can once again celebrate a victory. Meanwhile, Linz had to admit defeat for the first time after four consecutive victories.
