At Morocco PC: Dispute among journalists escalates
Two journalists clash, even leading to physical altercations.
Morocco's press conference ahead of Thursday's World Cup quarter-final match against France (10 PM in the LIVE ticker >>>) was interrupted by a dispute between two journalists.
While Brahim Diaz was answering a question, a heated argument broke out among the reporters. It led to insults and a shouting match between the two involved parties; Diaz and coach Mohamed Ouahbi could only watch helplessly.
A volunteer had to intervene and was finally able to resolve the situation. The background to the altercation is reportedly that one of the two journalists allegedly slapped the other.
For this, the culprit was reportedly even summoned to the FIFA office after the press conference.
