Departure at GAK!

Youngster Tim Paumgartner is leaving the "Rotjacken", turning his back on professional football, and moving to the newly founded Regionalliga Nord. The Styrians officially announced this on Monday.

Move to Grödig

The contract with the 21-year-old midfielder, which was originally valid until summer 2027, was prematurely terminated, it is reported. Paumgartner wants to focus on a new professional path and leave professional football behind.

For this, the midfielder, who comes from the Red-Bull-Akademie, returns home and signs with SV Grödig. The former Bundesliga club is now part of the Regionalliga Nord after winning the championship title in the Salzburger Liga.

Appearances in Bundesliga and LigaZwa

"A top player with immense quality. Tim will be a tremendous asset. We are delighted to bring a Salzburg player from the Bundesliga back home," says Grödig's President Christian Schwaiger.

He has made 55 second-division appearances and had six Bundesliga appearances for GAK last season.
