€150 Million Release Clause! Barca Secures Future of Striker Gem
The "Blaugrana" have secured a promising goalscorer. He has already demonstrated his qualities.
FC Barcelona has handed Hamza Abdelkarim a new contract.
As the Catalans announced on Tuesday, the 18-year-old Egyptian's contract has been prematurely extended until 2030.
The release clause stipulated in the new contract is now said to be €150 million, up from just €15 million.
The center-forward had joined the "Blaugrana" youth academy from top Egyptian club Al-Ahly SC in spring 2026, and this summer the club signed Abdelkarim permanently for €1.5 million.
During the summer pre-season, the two-footed attacker impressed with four goals for the first team under Hansi Flick.
