Elche successor praises Affengruber: "Historic player"
David Affengruber's successor at Elche was already nominated for Argentina and is looking forward to following in his footsteps.
David Affengruber left Elche shortly before the end of the transfer window and joined Fulham in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old was promoted to La Liga with the club in his first year and played his part in their survival in the past season.
Accordingly, he leaves a void. However, Elche has filled this with a transfer.
With Kevin Lomonaco (24), a promising player arrives from Independiente (Argentina); the center-back was already nominated once for Argentina's senior national team in 2025.
The Great Honor
The successor to the ÖFB national team player expresses his delight about the task at his presentation.
"To replace Affengruber excites me greatly. It is a great honor," he is quoted by "Hola News". He describes the Lower Austrian as a "historic player."
He describes himself with the words: "I kill and die on the pitch for my teammates."
