Thomas Murg Apparently Finds New Club
The Austrian remains in Greece and is on the verge of a transfer to the 2nd division.
Thomas Murg (31) has apparently found a new club.
As reported by the Greek medium "fosonline", the attacking midfielder is moving to Kalamata in the second Greek league.
Most recently, the former Bundesliga professional (Ried, Austria, and Rapid) was without a club. Since October 2020, after leaving Rapid, he was under contract with PAOK Thessaloniki.
Was Nominated for ÖFB Team
In spring 2025, he was on loan to Saudi Arabia (Al-Khaleej). In 2018, as a Rapid professional, he even made it into Franco Foda's ÖFB squad once. However, he remained without an appearance in the friendly victories over Russia (1:0) and Germany (2:1).
In 2013, Murg became Austrian champion with Austria Wien, and with PAOK, he won the Greek title in 2024.
