Extension? Eberl sets Olise deadline for decision
The sporting director of the German record champion is determined to keep the difference-maker and extend his contract accordingly.
Michael Olise is one of the outstanding players for FC Bayern München. The 24-year-old Frenchman arrived in the summer of 2024 for 53 million Euros from Crystal Palace and immediately won the hearts of the fans.
Across all competitions, the winger delivered 45 goals and 55 assists in 111 competitive matches. His contract with the German Bundesliga club is valid until summer 2029, and Bayern are absolutely keen to extend it.
Already in the summer, there were many rumors about a move to Real Madrid, but in the end, the 25-time France international remained in Munich.
Eberl and Dreesen Speak Out
However, whether Bayern can permanently keep Olise is still uncertain. CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen recently hinted at this: "Whether we can keep him permanently, we will discuss again in the summer."
In an interview with "Sport Bild", Sporting Director Max Eberl became even more specific and set the offensive star a soft deadline.
"We should know by next summer whether there is a tendency from his side to extend or not," said Eberl.
