FC Barcelona are back to winning ways!

After the Catalans recently lost both the Champions League clash against PSG and the Clásico against Real Madrid, FC Barcelona secured a resounding 6-1 victory against Deportivo Alaves on LaLiga's 11th matchday.

After eleven matchdays, the Catalans have an impressive 46 goals this season. That averages out to over four goals per game.

Dominant First Half

It became clear early in the match that Barca were in excellent form this evening.

Fermin Lopez served Raphinha the opening goal on a silver platter (8'). A little later, the Spaniard himself celebrated. Following an assist from Lamine Yamal, Lopez made it 2-0 from a tight angle (23').

Just before the break, a quickfire double effectively sealed the win. First, Raphinha bagged his second goal, his 15th of the season (41'). In first-half stoppage time, Yamal also scored for the first time (45'+1).

Barca Take Foot Off the Gas, Still Score Twice

After the half-time break, the Blaugrana shifted down a gear or two.

Yamal once again made it 5-0 with a delicate chip (64'). Seven minutes after his substitution, Anthony Gordon - also with a chip - got on the scoresheet (81').

Alaves managed to score a consolation goal in the closing stages through former Real striker Mariano Diaz (84').

Barcelona Maintain League Lead

Barca thus overtakes Atletico again and leads LaLiga with 30 points. The "Rojiblancos" had temporarily taken the top spot with an away win against Ifeanyi Ndukwe's Levante.

Alaves remain in tenth place with twelve points.
