Real secure dominant win over Valencia
The "Königlichen" move level with Barcelona following a convincing away victory, though they have already played one game more.
Real Madrid secured a 3-0 victory over Valencia CF on matchday 12 of LaLiga, drawing level on points with FC Barcelona in the standings.
However, the "Königlichen" have played one game more than the Catalans, who face Atletico Madrid in Sunday's marquee clash.
The visitors dictated the tempo from the start and took the lead in the 28th minute. Mbappe's free-kick hit the wall, but the ball fell to Valverde, who slotted a low shot into the bottom left corner.
Seven minutes later, the favorites celebrated again. Güler doubled the lead with a volley to make it 2-0 (36'). Valencia were preoccupied with defending in the first half and posed little threat offensively.
Mbappe adds a third
After the restart, the hosts remained defensively solid, but things got dangerous around the hour mark. However, Mbappe was denied by opposition goalkeeper Dimitrievski.
He fared better in the 75th minute. Güler played Mbappe through, who got past Dimitrievski and tapped into an empty net to make it 3-0.
Valencia finish match a man down
Just moments later, there was drama. Gaya brought down the French superstar in a promising position and was shown a red card for a last-man foul (79').
With the numerical advantage, Mourinho's team failed to add another goal, and it ended in a 3-0 win.
In the standings, Real temporarily draw level with FC Barcelona, while Valencia CF missed the chance to break free and remain in 19th place in the relegation zone.
