FC Barcelona celebrates a perfect start to the new LaLiga season.
After the Catalans celebrated a resounding 5-0 victory against FC Elche in their first match, they also secured their second win, 2-0 against Athletic Bilbao.
As expected, the "Blaugrana" dominated proceedings from the start. Pedri seemingly put them ahead in the 29th minute, but the goal was disallowed after Lamine Yamal was found to be offside in the build-up.
Rodri comes on, Fermin seals the win
Shortly after, he turned provider. The midfielder played a perfect pass into the path of Raphinha, who rounded Unai Simon and slotted home to give them a deserved lead (37').
Subsequently, the Spanish champions eased off the gas. Cheers then erupted at Camp Nou in the 63rd minute, though not for a goal. New signing Rodri came on for Raphinha and made his debut.
Several more substitutions injected new life into the game. Fermin Lopez then put the game beyond doubt for Hansi Flick's team in the 82nd minute.
While Barça enjoys a perfect start, Bilbao, under new coach Edin Terzic, suffers a false start with two defeats.
