German International Joins English Champions League Club

Leon Goretzka has found a new club.

After Goretzka's contract at FC Bayern Munich expired in June following eight years, the 31-year-old midfielder moves to Aston Villa in the English Premier League.

For the 73-cap German international, it marks his first spell abroad. Prior to his time at Bayern, he played for Schalke and Bochum.

He made a total of 325 appearances for Bayern. In Munich, among other accolades, he won the Champions League once and the German championship seven times.
