Tottenham Hotspur continues to be very active in the transfer market.

After the signings of Sandro Tonali (€108 million), Mateus Fernandes (€99 million), and Savinho (€87.7 million), the deal for Omar Marmoush is now also sealed.

The Egyptian attacker, who, like Savinho, comes from Manchester City, will initially be loaned out. However, an obligation to buy for €58.3 million is expected to take effect during the season, with bonus payments potentially increasing the sum to €70 million. Marmoush is then expected to receive a contract until 2031.

Record Summer for Spurs

The spending by the club of Austrian international Kevin Danso thus exceeds €350 million for the first time. The previous record transfer season was 2023/24, when the North Londoners spent €275 million.

For Marmoush himself, it is the second expensive transfer of his career. Just a year and a half ago, he moved from Eintracht Frankfurt to City for €75 million. In his 62 appearances for the "Cityzens," he scored 16 goals and provided six assists.

Spurs coach Roberto De Zerbi said about the new signing: "Omar is exactly the kind of player we want at this club – ambitious, hungry, and determined to make a difference. He possesses incredible attacking qualities, but what I particularly like is his will to improve and win."
