100 Million Euro Transfer Fee! Man City Signs Rodri's Successor
OSC Lille receives the most expensive transfer fee ever paid for an 18-year-old.
Manchester City has acquired Moroccan teenager Ayyoub Bouaddi from OSC Lille for a reported 100 million Euros.
The 18-year-old midfielder received a five-year contract, as announced by the top English football club on Wednesday without disclosing the transfer fee.
For Lille, Bouaddi had played 30 games in the French league last season. At the World Cup, he was in Morocco's starting XI five times on their way to the quarterfinals.
At Manchester City, Bouaddi is now expected to replace Rodri in defensive midfield. The best player of the last Football World Cup moved to FC Barcelona this summer.
