"Sign of Weakness" - Mourinho jabs at Guardiola
Pep Guardiola is taking a break after his departure from Manchester City. A prominent colleague has no understanding for this.
Jose Mourinho once again takes a swipe at Pep Guardiola.
In the new Netflix documentary "Mourinho," the new Real Madrid coach once again criticizes Manchester City's now former head coach.
The reason for this? The Spaniard's voluntary break after his ten-year tenure with the "Skyblues."
"Some people need a sabbatical," "The Special One" begins, likely taking a jab at his former Barcelona colleague. "For me, a sabbatical is a sign of weakness, something I hate. I hate that word. So don't talk to me about it anymore."
Mourinho: A coaching job for life?
Guardiola had already taken a year-long break in 2012 after his departure from FC Barcelona.
A decision for which the Portuguese has absolutely no understanding. He claims his world is "stadiums with 50,000 or 90,000 fans." The 63-year-old wants to continue coaching for at least another ten years and can even imagine being on the sidelines into his 70s. "I want to win more titles," says Mourinho.
The Portuguese is therefore far from thinking about finally quitting. He will only find peace "when He up there decides I should come," Mourinho explains, symbolically pointing towards the sky.
Guardiola's future is currently still uncertain. He reportedly recently rejected an offer from the Italian Football Federation.
