Former FIFA President Sepp Blatter has once again criticized his successor Gianni Infantino.

On "X", the 90-year-old writes: "Now it is up to the fans, players, and national associations to reclaim football and lead it back to its roots under new leadership."

According to Blatter, although the "right world champion" won the tournament, he nonetheless emphasizes: "On the way to the final whistle, the tournament had lost its credibility. Politics must not overshadow the game."

However, according to a report by "The Guardian", Infantino remains untouched in office. More than 200 FIFA member associations are said to have signed a declaration of support for Infantino before next year's presidential election.
