Salzburg Summer Departure a Topic for Chelsea FC

Kerim Alajbegovic had a strong season at FC Red Bull Salzburg. Bayer Leverkusen consequently activated the buy-back clause for the summer. However, whether the Bosnian will remain at Bayer Leverkusen is far from clear.

According to "The Athletic", Chelsea FC are interested in the attacking player. At the London club, Xabi Alonso is active, a man who knows the ex-Salzburg player from his time at Leverkusen.

Before that, however, the English club must sell players to make the Alajbegovic deal possible.

Bergamo Previously Seen as Favorite

According to "Corriere dello Sport", Atalanta Bergamo was recently considered a hot candidate for a transfer. Reportedly, an agreement has been reached with Leverkusen. The transfer fee is said to be around 25 million Euros.

The 18-year-old still has a contract with Leverkusen until 2031. For Salzburg last season, he scored 13 goals and provided four assists in 44 games.
