TSG Hoffenheim finds a taker for transfer flop Gift Orban.

The 24-year-old is moving on loan to Turkish Süper Lig promoted club Amed SK. According to information from "transfermarkt.de", the Sinsheimers are expected to receive a loan fee of one million Euros for Orban. Amed SK has also secured a purchase option of four to five million Euros.

The attacker moved from Olympique Lyon to TSG Hoffenheim in January 2025 for a transfer fee of nine million Euros, but he failed to establish himself there, playing only 13 games. The Nigerian managed to score four goals.

Disappointing Loan Spell in Italy

In the following summer, the 24-year-old moved on loan to Hellas Verona in Italy.

With the Italians, Orban was relegated to Serie B, and he also made headlines after an altercation with a fan off the pitch. However, with seven goals and three assists, he was able to impress on the field, at least in phases.

Now Orban wants to make a fresh start in Turkey. At Amed SK, he will meet an Austrian legionnaire: Former WSG player Cem Üstündag has been playing for the Süper Lig promoted club since February 2026.
