Fenerbahce targets Portugal star before Sturm clash
The club's goal is to unveil the player before the possible clash with SK Sturm Graz.
Turkish top club Fenerbahce wants to compete in the UEFA Champions League again in 2026/27. To do so, the Turks must first overcome qualification. In the 2nd round, the club secured a 1-0 home victory against Gornik Zabrze.
In the next round, the winner of the Sturm Graz vs. Hearts match would await. After the 4-0 first-leg win, much points towards the Austrians. The second leg will take place on Tuesday (from 8:45 PM in the LIVE ticker >>>).
Agreement with Leao
For the possible clash with the Austrian vice-champion, Fenerbahce wants to strengthen its squad once more.
According to transfer insider Gianlugi Longari, an agreement has already been reached with Milan star Rafael Leao on an annual salary of approximately twelve million Euros. Negotiations with the Italians are now beginning.
The deal is expected to be swift. "Fenerbahçe's goal is to complete the transfer of Rafael Leao before the match against Sturm Graz," explains journalist Volkan Demir on "Tivibu Spor".
The first leg is already scheduled for August 4th/5th. Leao has a contract in Milan until 2028 and a market value of 50 million Euros.
