€45 Million Deal! Galatasaray on the Verge of Transfer Coup

Rafael Leao is reportedly on the verge of a transfer to the Süper Lig.

According to consistent reports from several media outlets, the Portuguese winger from AC Milan is set to join Turkish champions Galatasaray.

According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the deal is already in its final stages, and Leao is said to have agreed to the move to Istanbul.

€45 Million Plus Bonuses

Galatasaray is reportedly set to pay Milan a fixed transfer fee of around €45 million for the 27-year-old. The total sum could increase further through bonus payments.

For Galatasaray, Leao would thus be the second most expensive transfer in the club's history. Only for Victor Osimhen did the Turkish champions dig deeper into their pockets. The Nigerian cost around €75 million in the summer of 2025.

Leao has played for the "Rossoneri" since 2019, contributing to 145 goals in 291 competitive matches. However, the Portuguese player is said to have no future at Milan for quite some time and reportedly sought a departure himself.

Galatasaray Instead of Fenerbahce

The potential move is particularly explosive due to its backstory. Just about a month ago, Leao was linked with Galatasaray's arch-rivals Fenerbahce.

Aston Villa was also recently considered a potential suitor for the 27-year-old. However, Leao is now said to have decided on "Gala" and will move to the top club from Istanbul.

For Galatasaray, the signing of the Portuguese international would be another spectacular transfer and a renewed statement on the transfer market.
