Paul Wanner registers his first goal contribution of the new season on the fourth matchday of the Dutch Eredivisie.

In PSV Eindhoven's 6-1 thrashing of FC Utrecht, the Austrian international assisted the goal to make it temporarily 4-1. Wanner entered the game after 65 minutes. The midfielder created three chances, had a shot on goal, and even won a penalty. Mijans missed it in the 86th minute, hitting the post.

PSV fell behind early through Nuremberg loanee Stepanov (6'). However, Ruben van Bommel (11') and Guus Til (45') turned the score around by halftime.

PSV Pulls Away After Wanner's Introduction

It was only after Wanner's substitution that the visitors significantly extended their lead: Mauro Junior (76') made it 3-1, before Mijans missed the penalty. Just seconds later, Wanner set up Mijans' 4-1 following a free-kick.

Til (88') and Dest (90'+3) sealed the 6-1 final score for the reigning champions, who remain unbeaten after four rounds. However, due to their 2-2 draw against Fortuna Sittard on the opening day, they are two points behind league leaders Alkmaar.
