Fadinger continues scoring streak in Austrian clash
The 25-year-old also scores in Motherwell FC's third competitive match of the season – and that against a former teammate.
Lukas Fadinger extends his strong early-season form in the Motherwell FC jersey.
The 25-year-old Styrian scores the interim 1-0 (40th minute/P) from the penalty spot in the Scottish Premiership season opener against Hibernian FC – and thus also in the third competitive match of the still young season.
Fadinger converts from the spot against his former Hartberg teammate Raphael Sallinger, who is the number one goalkeeper for the hosts from Edinburgh.
Three Austrian Players in Action
The match ends 2-1 in favour of the visitors from Motherwell, for whom Martin Moormann, another Austrian, is in the starting eleven. The Austrian trio plays for the entire duration of the match.
Both Hibernian and Motherwell recently secured their place in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. There they will face KF Shkendija (Hibernian) and HJK Helsinki (Motherwell) respectively.
