Rangers beat Celtic again in the Old Firm
Celtic's first Premiership defeat of the season comes in the Old Firm against arch-rivals Rangers FC.
Celtic FC once again fails to win an Old Firm derby.
On Scotland's seventh matchday, the "Bhoys" once again had to concede defeat to arch-rivals Rangers. The visitors were the better team, with Ryan Naderi scoring the decisive goal in the 33rd minute. Another goal by Olwethu Makhanya was disallowed (75.).
For Celtic, it is their first defeat of the young Premiership season. Nevertheless, the reigning champions still lead the table with a two-point advantage over Rangers.
However, what hurts even more is their record in the Old Firm over recent years – their last victory now dates back over two years (September 1, 2024).
