After World Cup Exit: Marko Arnautovic Back on the Training Pitch
Austria's record goal scorer has already rejoined training with his club Red Star Belgrade just days after their elimination from the 2026 World Cup.
While many World Cup participants are still recharging their batteries after the grueling tournament, Marko Arnautović is already back on the training pitch.
The 37-year-old has reported back to his club Red Star Belgrade and is now focusing on the upcoming tasks.
"Guess who's back," the traditional club wrote on Instagram, posting pictures of the Austrian striker in the club's kit.
The attacker has had eventful days. After 137 international matches, his career with the Austrian national team came to an end. Arnautović, record goal scorer for the ÖFB selection with 49 goals, said goodbye to the international stage after the World Cup exit against European champions Spain .
Season Starts as Early as Mid-July
Red Star will already kick off the new season on July 18 against FK Mačva Šabac. A few days later, qualification for the UEFA Champions League is on the agenda.
Arnautović wants to do his part to help the Serbian record champion make it into the Champions League.
