Following Wels transfer: WSG releases attacker to Belgium
After one season, WSG Tirol lets a striker go.
WSG Tirol has announced another departure after the transfer deadline in Austria.
Ademola Ola-Adebomi is leaving the Wattens-based club after one season.
On his 23rd birthday, he is moving to the Challenger Pro League (2nd division) in Belgium, signing a contract with Sporting Lokeren until 2028 with a club option for a one-year extension.
Did not play a significant role this year
The Englishman, who was trained at Crystal Palace, joined Tirol last year on a free transfer from Oliver Glasner's former club. The left-footed player made 28 appearances for WSG, scoring five goals and assisting three.
This current season, Ola-Adebomi made a brief appearance in the league opener against Sturm Graz, and also featured in the first round of the UNIQA ÖFB Cup against Wieselburg.
Just a few hours earlier, the Tyroleans announced the permanent signing of Moritz Wels from Wiener Austria.
