Dutch international moves to Saudi Arabia
The 28-year-old leaves Manchester City and joins Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadsiah. The Citizens receive a significant transfer fee.
The next multi-million-euro transfer to the Saudi Pro League is here!
Tijani Reijnders will play for Al-Qadsiah, a club from Al-Khobar, located on Saudi Arabia's east coast, with immediate effect.
The 28-year-old midfielder thus leaves Manchester City, with the English club reportedly set to receive a transfer fee of 61 million euros.
At last season's fourth-place finisher in the Saudi league, Reijnders will meet several well-known names, including long-serving Real Madrid player Nacho Fernandez, Italian Mateo Retegui, and the standout Mexican Julian Quinones from the World Cup.
Move after just one year
This marks the end of a short era for Reijnders at Man City; the Dutchman only arrived last summer from AC Milan. In Manchester, he made 47 appearances last season, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists.
Reijnders is also a key player for the national team; he started in all three of the Netherlands' group stage matches at the World Cup.
