Former World Champion takes over traditional Italian club
The 57-cap international lands his third coaching job in Italy's top flight. He takes over a traditional club from Emilia-Romagna.

Following the rather surprising dismissal of Carlos Cuesta (More info>>>), 57-cap Italian international Alberto Gilardino takes over at the 15th-placed team in Italy's Serie A.
Gilardino signs a contract until the end of the season with a club option for an extension of two more years.
514 Appearances in Serie A
For the former AC Milan star, who made 514 appearances in Serie A as a player and won the World Cup with his home country in 2006, it is his third job in Italy's top flight.
Previously, the 44-year-old, who ended his playing career in 2018, had been on the sidelines at CFC Genoa and most recently at Pisa Sporting Club.
