Romano Schmid makes club history with Frosinone
The promoted side continues its successful run. The dominant victory against US Lecce is one for the history books.
Austrian international Romano Schmid celebrates a 5-1 home victory against US Lecce with Frosinone Calcio on Thursday.
The newly-promoted Serie A side thereby makes club history: For the first time, the "Giallazzurri" secure four consecutive home wins in the top Italian flight.
Schmid starts against Lecce but remains without a goal contribution. So far, he has contributed two goals and four assists in Serie A. Teammate Florian Grillitsch is still out due to adductor problems.
Frosinone among the top contenders
Goals were scored by Cichella (25th), Calo (45th+1/penalty), Raimondo (72nd), and Birligea (72nd, 90th+4). The visitors only managed to pull one back to make it 1-4 through Monteiro (82nd).
Frosinone is currently high up in the table, sitting sixth with five wins, two draws, and two defeats. Their losses came against Juventus (0-1) and Napoli (0-3).
On Sunday, they continue with another home game against FC Torino.
