AC Milan suffers its first Serie A defeat of the season on Matchday 9. They concede a 2-4 loss to FC Bologna at San Siro.

Man of the Match is Bremen loanee Mbangula, who scores a hat-trick (8th, 62nd, 86th). Cisse scores twice for Milan (14th, 27th). The attacker had previously scored three times in the Europa League against Salzburg.

Inter wins thanks to two own goals

Meanwhile, Milan's city rivals Inter secure their fourth consecutive league win in Venice and are currently top of the league.

The reigning Italian champions were lucky in their 2-0 win against Venezia, as both late goals were own goals (Moreno/79th, Halhal/82nd).

Juventus suffers a 0-2 defeat at Genoa. Austrian international David Puczka remained on the bench for the winning team, as did goalkeeper Franz Stolz. Elias Havel was absent from the squad due to injury.

Napoli wins 4-1 away against Monza. Parma and Udinese Calcio draw 0-0. David Alaba is absent due to injury for the visitors.
