Salzburg's summer signing Jesper Lindström is currently in impressive form.

"I'm in a phase where everything is working," said the Dane after the "Bulls'" 3-1 away win against LASK.

Ten days ago against SCR Altach, he ended his long goal drought with a direct free-kick goal. In the same match, he had already provided an assist.

Subsequently, the 26-year-old, who moved to the Salzach on loan from SSC Napoli in the summer, also scored in the Europa League against Celje and in Linz.

"Bulls" have a purchase option

"Salzburg is a good team with a fantastic squad and a great coaching staff, and they have contributed significantly to me playing a complete and truly good game again for the first time in a long time," Lindström said in an interview with the Danish portal "Bold" about his match against Altach.

The attacking player had a good start in Salzburg and could imagine staying beyond the loan season.

"It would be nice not to constantly move. So I think it would be super cool to stay another year in Salzburg. Let's see what happens during the season," Lindström said.

FC Red Bull Salzburg has a purchase option for the Dane. Reportedly, this is around three million Euros.

"Time will tell"

However, Lindström is keeping his options open. When asked if the Napoli chapter was already closed for him, he said:

"You never know. If I really shine this season, something might well come up. If it's meant to happen, it will happen. Time will tell."

In Naples, the 2022 Europa League winner still has a contract until 2028.
