The German played 277 games in the top German league. Now he announces his retirement.
Kevin Volland is ending his professional career at the age of 33.
The former striker for Leverkusen, Hoffenheim, Union Berlin, and AS Monaco announced this on Instagram.

"At some point, you have to make a decision that isn't easy personally. At some point, the end of your career is at the door, as is now the case for me. Thank you for 16 great years, it was a blast, I will miss it tremendously," says the 15-time DFB international in a video.
However, in the future, he will still play for his lower-league hometown club FC Thalhofen. There, he will play alongside his brother Robin.
